live poker this weekend

Ive decided im due a big score in a tournament, so looks like I will be heading to Dusk till Dawn this weekend to play in their £100k guaranteed. With a buy-in of just £300, its not particularly a cost effective use of my time, but playing in live tournaments has other benefits such as the entertainment value of watching some truly bad players thinking they are Phil Ivey, whilst educating the table about how good they are.

Ive played this tournament once before, and went out to a guy who thought he had the nuts on a KT2 flop when he held KT. Fair enough he’s going to lose a few chips on that flop, but he was genuinely shocked to see my set of 2’s. Needless to say my set didn’t hold up, and I had a long motorway trip home wondering how quickly he’d lose his luckbox winnings.

Anyway, im looking forward to it, and hopefully there will be some juicy cash games on offer. If you’ve never been to Dust Till Dawn you should, it really is a well run club, and if any of you are planning on attending, drop me a bell here and we can meet up for a beer.
