James Akenhead is my hero, or should that be isildur1

So, the online poker world has quite simply gone crazy this week, high stakes poker player durrrr has got action from some lunatic swede called isildur1. To cut to the chase, isildur1 is up about $2.7m for the month, most of which coming from durrrr. These guys are 6 tabling $500/$1000 which is just nuts. Durrrr does not seem to want to walk away, so who knows what will happen for the rest of the month – one thing for sure, is that it makes a $4k downswing a whole lot less painful!

The WSOP is over for another year, unlucky for James, he busted out first, but still massive props for bagging the $1m. Havent watched it yet, but sounds like the winner Joe Cada just went on a massive heater on the final table, sick life.

As for me, I played the £80k guaranteed at DTD last weekend, busted half way through losing a flip, although was basically card dead for 8 hours, so meh. Decided to win my buy-in back on the cash games, within 10mins I was looking at a £750 pot with me being a 2to1 favourite versus some old dudes draw. Obv he gets there on the river. Standard. Drove home in a huff, and just grinded it all back online in half the time. I don’t know how you live players do it.

Hopefully will get some volume in this weekend, although, off to watch Harry Brown tonight, and playing golf Sunday, so probably unlikely. As always, GL at the tables.
